Pasco-Hernando State College Announces Search for Next President

Pasco-Hernando State College, an open access, multi-campus public college in west Florida, seeks a higher education administrator with substantial and successful leadership experience and a commitment for student success to serve as President. The President is responsible for all campus operations and services to ensure achievement of the strategic plan, mission, vision, and goals. The appointment for this executive position will be effective January 2024.

After a 17-year tenure at Pasco-Hernando State College, President Timothy L. Beard, Ph.D., will retire effective January 31, 2024.  As of that date, Beard will have served nearly nine years as the College’s CEO and, previously, more than eight years as PHSC’s Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. A nationwide search for Beard’s successor begins today. The firm Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting will lead the campaign for the College’s fifth president in collaboration with a committee comprised of community stakeholders and PHSC faculty, staff and students.

July 1 - Best consideration date

July 25 - Selection of candidates for Zoom interviews

August 8-9 - Zoom Interviews

September 5-9 - Campus visits of finalist

September 19 - Board meeting/selection of finalist/ announcement
